I will let you in on a little secret that I am known around my house for crafting, baking, decorating and loving anything that involves a hot glue gun!!!  Yet, when it comes to 'outsideness' as I call it, it is not my strong point.  My husbands spends hours (no decades) in our garden.  He has built a fence, started a greenhouse, rotates the crops, single-handedly opens hundreds of coffee K-cups to pry out the coffee grinds for our composite bin and then takes all our bounty and cans, jars, pickles and does I don't know what else.... With that being said, I am grabbing some of my husband's soil and grass seed so we can have some fun in the classroom.  I will try to not pass my lack of gardening onto the kiddos.  I won't tell if you don't.  -But, we will of course get a little crafty with our growing.  I can't wait to make this Grass Head tomorrow with my nuggets!!!

I was also strolling through Barnes and Noble (while my hubby was toiling in the garden) on Saturday and came upon this beautiful book, 'Everywhere Wonder' by Matthew Swanson.   It is a lovely creation where the readers follow a young boy as he explores great wonders of the world (from the moon to Egypt to the canyons).  Then, he moves the readers towards  finding the wonder in everyday things such as a balloon, sunset, or the potential journey of an empty road.  I adore finding the joy in the smallest of things and can not wait to share this book with my nuggets.  Springtime is a great time to look outside and explore the wonder that lies ahead!!!
