It is that time of year my friends where we will be going on a Bear Hunt in our classroom! We will be reading "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" by Michael Rose and Helen Oxenbury! I know I say that I love so many books (and I do), but this one.... If only I could count the number of times I would read and act this out to my own kids! The rythem, hand motions, illustrations, surprises and cadence all blend together to be one of my all time favorite reads. I can't wait to share this exciting and interactive read with the kiddies in class.
We will also be chatting about all different types of animals that hibernate during the cold, winter months
Of course, it is not a complete day in my classroom unless we get a little mess on. I though this texture fork painting bear would be perfect for our crew. I can't wait to see how this one will turn out!
We are also getting ready for our exciting 'Donuts with Dad' Day that is coming up on Wed, Feb 15th. As always, we have a few, creative tricks up our sleeves to surprise our favorite fellows!!! Looking forward to meeting all the great Dads. Mrs. Racz and I get to hear all about them in class!
Here is a peek at our day...
9:00-9:30: Free Play/Animal Hibernation/Donut with Dad Prep
9:35-9:50: Circle Time/Hello/Hibernation Chat/Letter H Intro
10:50:00-11:00 Independent Read
11:00-11:25: Bear Craft
11:50-12:00: Clean Up/Goodbye Circel
As a mom, I love to know what my children are discovering during their days and I am sure you do too! Stop by here anytime to see what fun & learning we are up to!
